Work with us

Websites, built properly.

Albert is an independent web studio in London. We design and hand-code websites for companies that care how they look and how fast they load.

Written by hand

Every page starts as HTML and CSS that we write ourselves. It keeps sites light, and easy to change later.

Quick to load

We keep pages small and test them on real phones, so they open quickly on a train as well as on office wifi.

Shaped around your brand

Your logo, colours, words and photos, laid out so people find what they came for. We also check it works with screen readers and keyboards.

Secure, on every screen

HTTPS, locked-down hosting and regular updates come as standard. Every layout is designed for phones first.

Services

Each project gets a fixed price, agreed before any work starts. Most clients combine two or three of these.

Who you'll work with

Albert was started by Alfie, who began his career building websites for finance firms. That's where he learned to treat speed, security and accuracy as the starting point of every project.

You'll deal with Alfie directly, from the first call to launch day.

Questions

How much does a website cost?

It depends on the number of pages and what the site needs to do, such as bookings or a shop. After a short call you get a fixed price in writing, before any work starts.

How long does it take?

Most sites take four to eight weeks from the first call to launch. Smaller sites can be quicker.

Do I own the website?

Yes. Once the final invoice is paid, the design, the code and the domain are yours.

Can I update it myself?

Yes. We can set up a simple editor for the parts you change often, like news, prices or team members, and show you how to use it.

Can you take over my existing website?

Usually, yes. We'll look at what you have and tell you honestly whether it's worth improving or better to rebuild.

Do you only work with London companies?

No. We're based in London and work with clients across the UK, mostly over video calls.
